Having a puppy is a life long commitment, with an average life span of 10 to 14 years.  A person interested in a new family member must be willing to provide love, proper training, nutrition and health care. The German Shepherd is strong willed, highly intelligent, posses the ability to learn quickly, have incredible bravery and are devoted to their owner and family.

These good natured dogs do best with plenty of exercise and stimulation and are happiest when given a job to do.
